Ann Brancato

My name is Ann Brancato, and I am running for New York State Assembly. A long time resident of Long Island's South Shore, I have dedicated my life to fighting for my community. As a healthcare professional, a mother, and a community leader, I am running to bring my experience to Albany as the Assemblywoman for NY's 9th District.

Francis Genco

NYS Assembly - District 7

Genco, 67, of East Islip, is seeking his first term in the state assembly and is running on the Democratic Party line.

He ran for state senate in 2012 and lost to Republican Lee Zeldin, who was later elected a congressman.

He served as executive assistant to then-Islip Town Supervisor Phil Nolan for five years and was on the East Islip school board from 1999 to 2009

Genco supports building a six-lane overpass at Oakdale Merge on Sunrise Highway to ease the traffic congestion there.

He wants to create a differential in state funding to school districts that addresses the high cost-of-living on Long Island.

He would support policies or legislations that would help veterans and the elderly.

Michael Marcantonio

NYS Assembly - 12
Michael Marcantonio

Like other millennials, Michael Marcantonio’s life has been defined by crisis at seemingly every major milestone. His first week in high school was marked by 9/11. His entry into the job market came during the Great Recession. And now his campaign for his first term in public office comes against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic.

Born and raised in Northport, Michael took an interest in politics at a young age, learning early on the good it could do for the community, but also, unfortunately, the bad.

I have lived on Long Island my entire life and I have been a small business owner in Huntington since 1988. I and my wife, Maureen Moloughney have lived in Centerport since 2011. Prior to that, we lived in Cold Spring Harbor for 27 years. We have two wonderful grown daughters and two even more wonderful grandchildren. Shortly after we moved into Centerport, our home suffered extensive flooding damage in Hurricane Irene. We spent several years elevating the house and rebuilding.

All three of these groups have taken direct steps to improve the lives of Southold residents and Rona has been a determined leader.

Clyde Parker

NYS Assembly - District 3

Clyde Parker will bring a strong new voice to Albany and a real commitment to representing all residents of the 3rd Assembly District.

“I’m not your typical candidate who has spent his life in political circles looking for ways to get elected. I’m everyman, the guy who has spent a lifetime looking for ways to succeed in the working world; the husband and father who has struggled to make a living and raise a healthy happy family.” An army veteran, Parker says military service taught him many valuable lessons about leadership and goals. “Leaders unite; they don’t divide. Being united with a common goal is how you succeed and win. This kind of leadership and representation is not going to come from the same-old people in the same-old circles.”

Dave Morrissey

NYS Assembly - District 8

Too many of our children are dying from opioids. As the father of a young man who died from chronic heroin and cocaine use, I have come to learn that we can do better. Albany should be leading the way for the nation in ending the negative public perceptions of people with substance use disorder. Long Island should be getting its fair share of resources instead of contributing so much more than it gets back. We need Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid dependency, including well-managed prescribing of Naltrexone and Buprenorphine, evidence-based treatments that saves lives. We should remove barriers to these life-saving treatments and get opioid users into effective treatment in New York State
