A lifelong resident of Suffolk County’s south shore, Josh has resided in Shirley for the last decade. The son of a teacher and union truck driver, he shares our working family values and knows what it means to make ends meet on Long Island. After graduating with honors from Patchogue-Medford, his passion for public service led him to receive a bachelor’s degree in political science from SUNY Albany where he gained valuable experience working in the New York State Assembly.
Returning home to his roots, Josh immediately dedicated himself to community and helping others by working for Suffolk County Legislator Kate Browning where he has fought for us as her Chief of Staff for the last eleven years. He has been at the forefront of improving our quality of life focusing on illegal, substandard housing and crime. Over the last decade, Josh helped preserve over 1000 acres of open space to protect our water quality and vital natural resources. He successfully fought for sewer infrastructure and secured $200 million to construct what will be our community’s first ever sewer district. If elected, making Suffolk County more affordable for working families and young professionals will be one of his top priorities, as well as fighting to assist our veterans and protect senior citizens.
With Kate Browning unable to serve due to term limits, Josh is the right choice to keep a strong, independent voice in the Suffolk County Legislature and continue the great service he provided as her Chief of Staff. His decade of experience advocating on our behalf will ensure we continue to receive the service we deserve.
