Diane Wilhelm was born and raised in Riverhead and attended Riverhead schools. First appointed to the office of Town Clerk in November 2008, she was then elected to that office in November 2009. Her current four year term expires December 31, 2015. Prior to becoming Town Clerk, Ms. Wilhelm had worked in the Town Clerk's office for over 9 years, 7 of which as Deputy Town Clerk. In addition, Ms. Wilhelm is an active member of both the Nassau/Suffolk Town Clerk's Association and the New York State Town Clerk's [3b] Association, for which she also serves as a District Director. She has been married to her husband Richard for 32 years and they have two grown children, Matthew and Colleen.
