IR 1041, a Local Law to protect the honor of decorated veterans, was unanimously approved by the Legislature. The law, which was sponsored by Suffolk County Legislator William R. Girding for a tough battle for control of the Suffolk County Legislature this fall, Democratic lawmakers raised $110,000 at a fundraising breakfast in Hauppauge last week.
