Joseph DiBenedetto
DiBenedetto, 75, of Riverhead, is running on the Democratic Party line for the general election.
He recently retired as a professor of Legal Studies and Taxation at Pace University, a position he held since 1971.
He received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University in 1967 and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1975.
Alonzo Jacobs
Jacobs, 54, of Bay Shore, is running on the Democratic Party line in the general election.
He has been an attorney in private practice in Lindenhurst since 2005.
He was a New York State parole officer from 1998 to 2002, working in Nassau, Suffolk and New York City.
He received his undergraduate degree from Long Island University in Southampton in 1988 and his law degree from Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law in 1994.
Randy Sue Marber
Marber, 60, of Oyster Bay is running on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
She has served as a Nassau County State Supreme Court Judge since 2007.
She was a Nassau County District Court Judge, 4th District, from 2002 to 2006.
She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester in 1982 and her law degree from the Boston University School of Law in 1985.
Erica Prager
Prager, 57, of Great Neck, is running on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
She has been a Nassau District Court Judge since she was appointed to fill a vacancy in May 2001, then elected in November 2001, and reelected in 2017, 2013 and 2019.
Prager is an appointed Acting County Court judge since 2009.
She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University in 1986 and received her law degree from Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University in 1989.
Gary Knoble
Judge Knobel was elected to the Nassau County District Court in November, 2005. He is assigned to hear and determine civil cases exclusively from their commencement to their conclusion; he also periodically conducts arraignments. The average daily civil caseload consists of at least 20 motions and 10 trials. Judge Knobel has had several opinions published in the official reporter and the New York Law Journal. He has taught New York Civil Procedure at Hofstra Law since 2003.
For the past 16 years, Judge Knobel has delivered food every Monday to senior citizens of behalf of Island Harvest.
Joseph Conway
Mr. Conway is a member of the defense bar after serving with distinction as an Assistant United States Attorney for more than fourteen years. During his tenure as an Assistant United States Attorney, Mr. Conway served in many roles, including Chief of the Long Island Criminal Division and Senior Trial Counsel. In addition to prosecuting more than a thousand cases, Mr. Conway has supervised the litigation training of many young attorneys. He has also been a frequent lecturer at the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations on various topics involving federal criminal litigation.
Tim Mazzei
Mazzei, 66, of Blue Point, is running on the Republican, Democratic, Conservative and Independence party lines in the general election.
He serves as a Suffolk County Court Judge since 2015.
He was a Town of Brookhaven Councilman from 2003-2014.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tampa in 1976 and his law degree from Pace University School of Law in 1979.
Derrick Robinson
Derrick J. Robinson is an Acting County Court Judge who presides over the Drug Court and the Mental Health Courts. These treatment court provide and opportunity for individuals to confront problems with addiction and work to reclaim futures. Prior to becoming a judge was appointed by Andrew Cuomo to the New York Office of the Attorney, as an Assistant Attorney General, where he worked out of the Nassau County Regional Office. He was in the litigation group and responsible for representing State
officials, agencies and employees, in the State and Federal Courts on a wide range of issues.
