BABYLON – Babylon Town Supervisor and Democratic Nominee for Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone has released a second television ad for his campaign, humorously portraying children as politicians to make the point that while kids have not caused Long Island’s fiscal problems, they bear the burden. In the ad, titled “Their Fault,” Bellone also highlights his record of strong fiscal management in Babylon of cutting spending, reducing debt every year and cutting taxes by more than $4 million.

“As kids across Long Island head back to school, our campaign is releasing a positive ad that highlights the need for an affordable Long Island with good jobs so that they can stay here—which is exactly what Steve Bellone will focus on as County Executive,” said Bellone Campaign Manager Rick Fromberg.

“This is our second positive ad focusing on how Steve Bellone will bring his record of strong fiscal management in Babylon to Suffolk County so that young people have the opportunity to stay on Long Island. Steve Bellone’s record of results –bringing Babylon’s bond rating from its lowest level to an A+, reducing debt every year in office, and cutting taxes by $4.3 million – feeds our strong grassroots effort that will lead us to victory in November.”

The Suffolk County Democratic Committee has built an unprecedented grassroots field operation that has already knocked on over 200,000 doors and made over 150,000 phone calls to voters across the county.

As a father, I know it’s not their fault it got so bad...

“But it’s their problem if they grow up and can’t afford to live on Long Island.

I’m Steve Bellone and it’s why in Babylon I cut spending, reduced the debt every year … and cut taxes by over four million dollars.

I’ll do the same thing as County Executive…

Our kids shouldn’t have to deal with it.”
