(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Chad A. Lupinacci (R, C, I – South Huntington) recently joined fellow Long Island Assemblymen and attended Suffolk County Medical Society’s (SCMS) Annual Meeting, where he awarded New York State Assembly Citations to outgoing Society President Dr. Maria Basile, and the newly inaugurated President, Dr. William Spencer.
“I would first like to thank President Dr. Maria Basile for her tireless efforts as the President of the Suffolk County Medical Society. Since her inauguration, she has been a strong voice for the SCMS, and has had a profound impact on Long Island’s medical community,” said Lupinacci. “The Suffolk County Medical Society has supported the medical field with research, education and advocacy, and honed their message for the future of Suffolk County health care.”

Lupinacci also commended new president Doctor William Spencer, who is also the County Legislator for Suffolk County’s 18th District. “William ‘Doc’ Spencer and I have been fortunate to work side by side on local issues, and we both have supported legislation to benefit all residents of Suffolk County,” said Lupinacci. “I look forward to continued work with President Spencer and the SCMS to continue increasing the quality of Suffolk County health care for future generations.”
