"More” Details Bellone’s Record of Strong Fiscal Management in Babylon

BABYLON – Babylon Town Supervisor and Steve Bellone today released his first television ad of the County Executive campaign. The ad, entitled “More,” illustrates Bellone’s record in Babylon of reducing debt, upgrading the town’s bond rating and cutting taxes, all while improving town services.

“Steve Bellone is running a positive, issue-based campaign for County Executive,” said Suffolk Democratic Chairman Rich Schaffer. “In the past month, he has announced an economic vision to attract businesses to Suffolk County and released plans to transform government to promote job creation. This ad introduces Steve Bellone’s record of strong fiscal management in Babylon to voters all across Suffolk County and will complement our unprecedented grassroots effort, leading to victory in November.”

The Suffolk County Democratic Committee has built an unprecedented grassroots field operation that has already knocked on over 150,000 doors and made over 100,000 phone calls to voters across the county.

[Steve Bellone off-camera] “Sometimes more is less.

I’m Steve Bellone and in Babylon we cut the debt, took our bond rating from one of the worst in the County to an A plus, and cut taxes by over four million dollars.

All by doing more with less bureaucracy.

A centralized call center. Government services online. And GPS tracking to make sure town employees are doing their job…

Pothole repair is down from five weeks to 48 hours.

[Steve Bellone on-camera] We can do more with less in County government too.”
