I am a proud member of a Blue Line Family with high-level corporate experience residing in St. James with my husband and two children.
This Town Board has been in place for over five years, having inherited from Supervisor Vecchio a $17 million surplus, virtually zero debt, and a government that worked. Since that time? Having gone through tens of millions of dollars of new debt and stimulus funds, Town Hall is "truly concerned" about next year's budget, and is paving fewer roads than before. All the while, this Town Board has been on a hiring spree of friends and family, lavished themselves with eye-popping raises, and raised your taxes.
I'm running for office because it's time we restored fiscal conservatism and sanity to Smithtown. No more rolling out the red carpet for developers who ruin our traffic and pollute our water, and no more stoking the flames of the so-called culture wars to distract from doing the people's work. Smithtown needs new leadership, and it's time to shake up this Town Board.
