I have always believed in public service and am grateful that the beginning of my career afforded me invaluable training in the workings of government on the community, city and state level. As a member of the Southampton Planning Board for the last five years, I have carefully weighed the delicate balance between development and environment, economy and community. When I sat as Chair of the Suffolk County Board of Ethics, I lead the way in ethics in government.
As a owner of a local real estate law firm, I am living the demands and challenges facing our business community. Working with clients from throughout Southampton Township, I have gained valuable insight into the commonalities and differences within our hamlets and villages.
I have been privileged to manage many of the successful unified campaigns for the Town of Sputhampton and currently serve as the 1st Chair of the Southampton Town Demociratic Committee. I have two other important hats: one as the 1st Chair of the Suffok County Democratic Committee and the other as a Vice Chair of the NYS Democratic Committee.
I have raised two children who are contributing to the greater good. My son, Geoffrey is a principal planner for a private developer concentrating in the area of affordable housing. My daughter, Marisa is a medical doctor with the rank of Major in the United States Army. Both are happily married and each have blessed me with grandsons.
I reside in Hampton Bays with my two rescue pups, Harley and Charley and a very opinionated cat, Nina. My current governmental experience and my real estate knowledge has given me skills and insights that are necessary to effectively represent the Town of Southampton.
