Maria Scheuring

Smithtown Town Council
Maria Scheuring

Maria has been a Smithtown resident for the past fifteen years. Her three children are students that attend Smithtown schools. Her law office is also located in Smithtown. She is a graduate of Fordham Law School and has been practicing law for the past 25 years, concentrating her legal work in the areas of general litigation, matrimonial, guardianships and entertainment contracts. She is also the current Executive Director for the popular ‘Alive After Five’ music festival for the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce.

Maria works as a pro-bono attorney for the Nassau Suffolk Law Services and as a philosophy professor at St. Joseph’s College. Her decision to run for the office of Town Supervisor derives from her concern to ensure the charm and small-town appeal of Smithtown. She is committed to our Smithtown community’s property value, traffic safety, environmental conservation, downtown revitalization, parks, and recreation. Maria is convinced that many other residents share her interests based on the results of the recent Master Plan survey of town concerns.

Maria Scheuring is an advocate for our future and Smithtown’s vibrancy.
