Lisa has worked both as a secondary educator and the owner of a government and public relations firm . This experience enables Lisa to bring a private sector sensibility to the town board.

Lisa holds a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta and a master's degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She also holds advanced certifications in educational administration from Dowling College.

Philosophy
Lisa spent many years teaching students the importance of participation in government based on the belief that a Democracy does not work unless people work at it. Her candidacy for the Brookhaven Town Council is the culmination of that belief.

For all too long there has been a lack of transparency, ethics, and accountability in Brookhaven Town Government. This comes from years of complete control of power by one political party. This has lead to stagnation in the way that town government operates. This mindset does not serve the people of the town well when faced with increasingly complex fiscal and environmental issues. Our quality of life has suffered. As a mother of 2 daughters, she hope to leave this town a better place for them and all generations to follow.
