F. Scott Carrigan

Scott Carrigan is a private practitioner with extensive experience in the areas of criminal law and personal injury. In 1989 Mr. Carrigan was hired as an assistant District Attorney in the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, handling all phases of criminal investigation and prosecution. In 1993 he became a criminal defense attorney and over the decades has handled all forms of criminal and personal injury cases (construction accidents, motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and wrongful deaths), in both the State and Federal Courts, on Long Island and New York City.

Mr. Carrigan was appointed as Vice Chairman and then Chairman of the Nassau County Bar Association Criminal Law and Procedure Committee, serving 2005-2013. Mr. Carrigan was elected by his peers as a Director and then as a Board Member of the Criminal Courts Bar Association of Nassau County, serving since 2012, and presently sits as the Association’s Vice President.

Mr. Carrigan possesses a well-respected reputation within the court system.
