David Bligh was born and raised on Long Island. Growing up in Ronkonkoma, his mother was a nursery school teacher and his father worked in manufacturing. In order to pay his way through school, David worked with his father in a family-owned manufacturing plant. David lives in Holbrook with his wife, Elizabeth, a stay-at-home Mom, and their three young children. He is a civil engineering graduate of the University of Delaware and professional engineer in the state of New York. For fifteen years, David has worked as an environmental engineer at a Suffolk County consulting firm, investigating properties for the presence of soil, groundwater, and soil vapor contamination and designing the cleanup plans and treatment systems to protect both the environment and members of our community. David. David has been an advocate for his community fighting to improve the lives of his neighbors by being heavily involved in local civic and charitable organizations whether it be Habitat for Humanity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or several local community leaders running for political office.
