Claire McKeon

Suffolk County Legislature (14th LD)

Claire McKeon is a lifelong resident of Lindenhurst graduating from Lindenhurst High School Class of ’71. Claire graduated from Suffolk Community College with an AAS where she studied Business Administration and Paralegal Studies. Upon graduating from Suffolk Community College, she attended SUNY Empire where she continued her studies in Business Administration and Labor Relations.

Claire currently works at the Town of Babylon as the Executive Director of Youth and Disabled services. Claire is responsible for the management of the Youth Bureau, Youth Institute, Deer Park Community Center, Disabled Services, Therapeutic Institute as well as facilitating the funding for seven youth centers that serve the various hamlets within the Town of Babylon.

In addition to her regular duties as Executive Director, Claire is an advocate for the youth of the Town of Babylon in their school settings to ensure that they are receiving the services that they need. She is the President of the Association of NYS Youth Courts, a member of the Governor’s Regional Youth Justice Team, a member of Sheriff Demarco’s Youth Re-entry Task Force and Strategic Planning and is the Chair of the Safe and Supportive Schools and Communities Consortium.

Claire resides in Lindenhurst where she raised her sons Kurt, Ryan and Mark.
