Organized, developed and operate a legal practice dealing with the general practice of law, concentrating in the areas of criminal defense, real estate and elder law.
KINGS COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY
Executive Assistant District Attorney, 1994-1997.
Managerial responsibilities included supervising the activities of attorneys, investigators, paralegal and clerical support staff; assigning and monitoring the progress of multi-agency investigations; developing and implementing prosecution strategies in high profile and sensitive cases. Prosecution function included the supervision of complex investigations; presentation of matters before grand and petit juries; prosecution of indictments to disposition by trial or plea.
Bureau Chief; Economic Crimes and Arson Bureau, 1990-1994. Managerial responsibilities included supervising the activities of attorneys, investigators, paralegal and clerical support staff; assigning and monitoring the progress of in-house and multi-agency investigations; developing and implementing prosecution strategies against white collar crime and arson. Prosecution function included the supervision of complex investigations; presentation of matters before grand and petit juries; prosecution of indictments to disposition by trial or plea. Additional responsibilities included selection as instructor/mentor for newly hired attorneys in the practical aspects of trial advocacy; acting as agency liaison; instructing other state and local agencies concerning the investigation and prosecution of arson, economic and related crimes.

Designed, wrote and presented classes in the Law and Police Science Department focusing on the various aspects of criminal trials including inherent conflicts, public perception and trial decisions.

Inspector General, Taxi and Limousine Commission, 1988-1990.
Developed strategies and administered programs for the investigation and elimination of corruption and other criminal activity, misconduct and conflicts of interest within a city agency. Managed investigations, prepared Grand Jury presentations and assisted in trial preparations in matters involving corrupt acts or official misconduct by city employees and persons dealing with the City of New York. Assisted the agency in the investigation and prosecution of administrative violations.
Deputy Inspector General, Fire Department of the City of New York, 1987 -1988. FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK
Fire Marshal, 1981-1985.
Investigated the cause and origin of fires and conducted criminal investigations of those fires determined to be incendiary; identified, located and arrested those responsible for violating state and local laws, primarily those relating to incendiary fires and public safety; testified as factual and expert witness in grand juries and trial juries; developed and implemented a state mandated peace officer training program for members of the department; instructed recruits at Fire Academy; provided in-service training; Certified Instructor; Municipal Police Training Council Certified Police Instructor and Certified Firearms Instructor.
Firefighter, 1970-1981.
Performed various fire suppression and prevention activities; enforced a variety of state and local laws relating to fire safety, building construction, public assembly and life safety; instructed recruits at Fire Academy; provided in-service training.
