Bishop Beats Altschuler in Fundraising Quarter

“It’s pretty clear who really has the momentum in New York’s First Congressional District.”

Bishop campaign doubles Altschuler’s Cash On Hand

FARMINGVILLE, N.Y.—Fundraising documents filed over the weekend show Tim Bishop for Congress outraised Altschuler’s campaign by $65,000 for the reporting period and $50,000 for the entire quarter. The documents also show the Bishop campaign having approximately double the cash on hand of Altschuler’s campaign.

For the fundraising period from June 7 to June 30, Bishop outraised Altschuler $192,635 to $127,383. Bishop currently has $1.53 million Cash on Hand compared $798,000 for Altschuler. Even more glaring, a mere 16 percent of Randy’s contributions come from within the Congressional District and .3 percent are from contributions under $200.

“I’m honored and humbled by this outpouring of support,” Congressman Tim Bishop said. “The middle class families of this district know that I am an honest, independent voice for them in Congress, and I couldn’t be more pleased by their backing.”

Santeramo said the momentum is clearly with Bishop.

“I think it’s pretty clear who really has the momentum in New York’s First Congressional District,” Santeramo said. “Altschuler’s alleged momentum was no more real than his CloudBlue office in Port Jefferson Station.”

Santeramo said the voters of the First Congressional District will reject a candidate who pioneered the outsourcing industry, and will support a candidate who saves and creates good paying jobs on Long Island.
