Meet Gipson for Gov & DACA Action & 2018 Planning

Date:
Tuesday, February 6, 2018 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Long Island Action

Terry Gipson, candidate for Governor of New York, will meet us here on Long Island for our first 2018 meeting, which will now be hosted at the American Legion Post in Williston Park, 730 Willis Ave, Williston Park, NY 11596. We have an opportunity to meet a progressive gubernatorial candidate and also Paola Ramos, a Latinx DACA activist to kickoff our activities for 2018 and to also plan our Route 25 efforts. She is Mexican, Cuban, Spanish and American and has spent most of her career in Democratic politics and advocacy spaces. She was the Deputy Director of Hispanic Media for Hillary Clinton's 2016 Presidential Campaign, ensuring Clinton's message and platform was reaching Latino and immigrant communities across the country. Immediately after the 2016 election, Ramos became the Spokesperson for the New York City Council where she worked to highlight New York’s Sanctuary City policies. Additionally, Ramos was a political appointee during the Obama Administration, serving in Vice President Biden’s Office as well as in Obama for America’s 2012 re-election campaign. Come one and all, bring your questions, enthusiasm and desire to make a difference!
