Reproductive health care is under assault as Congress threatens to defund Planned Parenthood, block grant Medicaid, and roll back gains made under the Affordable Care Act.

This forum will feature leaders in the women's health, reproductive justice and rights community to give an overview of the current political landscape. We expect a rich discussion on the legal and justice frameworks that can shape our response to the protracted threats to women's health.

As we develop a proactive agenda, we will address how improved 'Medicare for All' will benefit women's health, including:

Decoupling employment and health insurance coverage (an employer's position on contraception will no longer affect your coverage).
Ending dependence on a spouse for health insurance coverage.
Eliminating financial barriers to care.
Free choice of provider.
Access to comprehensive medical care, including contraception and abortion, but also mental health, vision, dental, and all medically necessary care.
