Film: The Brainwashing of My Dad

Date:
Friday, March 31, 2017 - 6:45pm to 9:30pm
Long Island Action

Ever wonder how we ended up with Donald Trump as President? When filmmaker Jen Senko traces the transformation of her father from a non-political life-long Democrat to an angry right-wing fanatic, she discovers that her father is part of a much broader demographic. "Brainwashing" unravels the deliberate shift of the country to the Right, largely through media manipulation, and shines a light on how it happened, who owns the airwaves, what rights we have as consumers, and what responsibility our government has to keep the airwaves fair, accurate, and accountable to the truth. Join us for a great film presentation, followed by discussion. Free, light refreshments served. Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Central Nassau, 223 Stewart Ave. (corner of Nassau Blvd), Garden City NY 11530 (2 blocks north of LIRR, Nassau Blvd. train station). Presented by LI Media Task Force and UUCCN. Sign up here: https://www.facebook.com/events/615070315350322/
